What Force of Love
Love powerfully moves our souls
With acts both kind and bold
But not all acts of love are happy
Some stay in our hearts as a calamity
For love demands a heavy toll
On the spirit and mind and soul
And the bravest of us may fall
Victims to love’s relentless call
So let us not be deceived
By love’s over-romanticized theme
For some acts of love are neither happy nor pretty
And noble acts of bravery can end in tragedy.
