Beyond the Tangle

Squinting past the tangled threads of life
I glimpse distant radiant lights
Many fade into obscurity
Some surrender their grace,
Yet in perpetual procession
Countless lights emerge
And though they wane, one persists
As a steadfast beacon far ahead.

Beyond the Tangle traces a journey through the complexities of life toward a distant, unwavering light. It reflects on how many lives, hopes, and moments fade into obscurity, while others rise, each carrying its own fragile radiance. Amid this procession, one persistent light remains. A faithful beacon draws the soul forward, offering direction and hope.

Life is a tapestry of uncertainty, where we see only dimly, God grants glimpses of His Light. Earthly accomoplishments and relationships fade, but Jesus remains. Jesus Christ is the enduring beacon guiding us home. Walking toward Him is an act of faith, hope, and love, rooted in the One who first loved us.

Seeing dimly through life’s obscurity
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. (1 Corinthians 13:12)

The light in which we see light
For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. (Psalm 36:9)

Passing things fading away
And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:17)

Surrendering grace for idols
Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love. (Jonah 2:8)

Countless lights emerge
And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. Daniel 12:3

And though many wane, one persists
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

The One who does not wane
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
